Current Members

Siheun Song | 송시흔

Siheun is a 2nd-year MS student in the Department of Food Science and Biotechnology at Sungkyunkwan University where she earned her BS. She joined the CliNE Lab in August 2023. Leveraging large-scale data collected from a university-affiliated medical center, she currently leads statistical analyses to generate scientifically rigorous epidemiologic evidence on dietary risk factors for colorectal cancer in the context of South Korea.

Minkyoung Jeong | 정민경

Minkyoung is a 1st-year student in the MS and PhD combined program in the Department of Food Science and Biotechnology at Sungkyunkwan University. She earned her BA in German Language and Literature and BS in Food Science and Biotechnology. Since she joined the lab in December 2023, she has led a systematic review on branched-chain amino acids to help re-establish their standards for the 2025 Dietary Reference Intakes for Koreans. She currently performs comprehensive assessment of the role of breakfast in risk of metabolic syndrome and its comorbid conditions using large-scale epidemiologic data in South Korea.

Jaemin Ho | 호재민

Jaemin is a 1st-year MS student in the Department of Food Science and Biotechnology at Sungkyunkwan University. She earned her BA in Sociology and BS in Food Science and Biotechnology. Since she joined the lab in June 2024, she has worked on the construction of major diet quality indexes using large-scale data collected from university-affiliated medical centers.

Jiyeon Hahn | 한지연

Jiyeon is a 1st-year student working on an MS and PhD degree at the CliNE lab. She is an alum of the Department of Food Science and Biotechnology and joined the lab in August 2024. Her perseverant input to better construct and stabilize the data analysis infrastructure has been extremely valuable to the team. She works on retrospective cohort data collected from a university-affiliated medical center to examine the role of diet in the etiology of colorectal malignancy in the young, South Korean population.

Minsoo Song | 송민수

Minsoo is a 4th-year undergraduate student in the Department of Global Economics (dual degree in Food Science and Biotechnology) at Sungkyunkwan University. Joining the lab in January 2025, he currently leads age-period-cohort analyses using nationally representative data to provide a comprehensive evidence base on the latest nationwide trends in dietary risk factors for colorectal cancer.
