PhD and Master's Students

We are welcoming prospective students who are interested in getting extensive training in nutritional epidemiology with a special emphasis on cancer prevention. For those who are interested, please email Dr. Hur at jhur@skku.edu with a CV, official transcripts of the prior degree(s) (e.g. bachelor's and master's, whatever applicable) and an English language proficiency test score. If you are an undergraduate student who wants to pursue a higher degree(s), please make sure to read the section below as we only accept those who did a research internship at the CliNE Lab for one or more academic terms. Feel free to reach out to the current team member(s) to get a glimpse of our team culture, ongoing research projects, potential opportunities, etc. Details on the application process for the graduate program in the Department of Food Science and Biotechnology and the Department of MetaBioHealth at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) can be found here: https://gradschool.skku.edu/grad (Korean); https://admission-global.skku.edu/eng/index.html (English).

Undergraduate Research Interns

We are also welcoming undergraduate students who are interested in getting some hands-on research experience. A full-time position as an undergraduate research intern or through the SKKU Undergraduate Research Program (URP) is feasible, but we highly recommend searching and securing the applicant's self-supporting stipend for this internship opportunity. For SKKU students, successful completion of my course(s) (e.g. Biostatistical Methods, Clinical and Nutritional Epidemiology, etc) could be a prerequisite for the URP approval. For those who are still interested though, please do not hesitate to email Dr. Hur at jhur@skku.edu with a CV, official transcript of the currently enrolled program and English language proficiency test score. Feel free to reach out to the current team member(s) to get a glimpse of our team culture, ongoing research projects, potential opportunities, etc.
